ERASMUS teaching mobility in Europe
Funding conditions
The ERASMUS programme promotes mobility for teaching purposes at European partner universities. The basis for this is an existing Erasmus contract.
Advantages of the ERASMUS programme:
- Stay on the basis of a teaching programme drawn up in advance
- Professional exchange and new perspectives
- Strengthening your own competences
- Expansion and consolidation of networks
Who can be supported?
- Professors and lecturers with a contractual relationship with the university
- Lecturers without an endowment
- Lecturers
- Emeritus professors and retired lecturers
- Research assistants
- Enrolled doctoral students
- Company personnel (incoming)
What can be funded?
- Participation in examinations
- Professional support/supervision of students
- Joint events and seminars
- Courses/lectures
Courses can have various forms: seminars, lectures, presentations, tutorials, supervision of doctoral students etc. It is important that the teacher is physically present.
Mobility for teaching purposes requires a teaching load of 8 teaching hours per week. Beyond one week (5 working days), the required teaching load is calculated as follows: 8 hours/5 days x number of additional days.
If ERASMUS teacher mobility and ERASMUS mobility for further education and training purposes are combined, the teaching load is reduced to 4 teaching hours/week.
Financial support
The financial support provides a lump sum for travel and accommodation costs in accordance with the ERASMUS programme rates. Approval is granted on the basis of a previously prepared cost calculation. Mobility costs are calculated in accordance with the German Federal Travel Expenses Act (BRKG).
