Bridge Fellowships of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is setting up temporary Bridge Fellowships to initiate sponsorship under the Philipp Schwartz Initiative. The Bridge Fellowships enable universities and research institutions in Germany to host researchers at risk, who are already in the Schengen area, and to prepare a joint application for funding in the Philipp Schwartz Initiative. Candidates for the fellowship can only be nominated by MLU professors until December 20, 2024. Please send your proposals with relevant documents to Dr. Heike Link at the International Office: heike.link@international.uni-halle.de .

Call for proposals by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and its “Philipp Schwartz Initiative” for the promotion of internationally endangered scholarsThe Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's “Philipp Schwartz Initiative” offers the opportunity to promote internationally endangered scholars. Since the program requires a central nomination of potential fellows, the International Office will coordinate this process and make the nominations for MLU. Candidates for the fellowship can only be nominated by MLU professors until January 31, 2025. DAAD Bridge Scholarships for Palestinians in Germany
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) administers the scholarship programme “Bridge Scholarships for Palestinians in Germany” with funds from the Federal Foreign Office. As part of the programme, qualified Palestinians, who are in Germany and not able to return to their home country due to the current situation, will receive the possibility to begin or continue their career.
